However, new regulation by the European Council and Parliament is forcing change in this area. When these new proposals are implemented, payment service providers will have to offer the ability to send and receive instant payments in Euros, and to do so at no extra cost.

 

This new legislative requirement will force change on the banking industry. So it makes sense for banks to look more widely across their payments technology and to take the opportunity to modernise their payments services.

 

Modernisation offers many significant advantages including streamlined operations and IT, more robust fraud and risk management, enhanced customer satisfaction and  product innovation enablement.
