Stress Engineering Services, Inc (SES), a global leader in delivering complex engineering services and solutions, has launched SES Renewables Solutions, a new group dedicated to providing engineering solutions across a broad range of renewable and alternative energy industries.

SES Renewables Solutions serves a wide range of industry sectors including offshore and onshore wind energy, energy storage, hydrogen, geothermal energy, biofuels, micro/smart grid systems and carbon capture, utilisation and storage (CCUS). Within these sectors, SES Renewables Solutions’ service offerings include technical and commercial due diligence, consulting, design, analysis, testing, condition monitoring, integrity management and digital solutions.

SES has been providing the engineering solutions to the oil and gas industry for the past 50 years. SES Renewables Solutions is the next branch of our company, aimed at addressing the needs and challenges of the evolving energy landscape. Stress Engineering Services has a long history in the both the midstream and plant services industries and our expertise in materials, metallurgy, corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement aligns perfectly with the production and transportation of sustainable fuels and hydrogen.  SES’s midstream practice has supported pipeline operators, regulators and service companies for decades to ensure pipelines are operated safely, and these efforts will continue as hydrogen transportation develops. Additionally, SES works in the downstream oil and gas sector, servicing plants and refineries. This core engineering competency aligns well with processes used for biofuel refining/production and carbon capture technologies.

SES Renewables Solutions will also pull expertise from Stress Engineering Services’ other business areas, such as the SES battery testing and analysis. Energy storage will be critical to grid stability, as renewables start to occupy larger portions of the energy supply on the grid.  SES has been growing our capabilities in battery testing and analysis for years and expects this experience to be a strong service offering of SES Renewables Solutions.
