Imaging centre deploys high-risk detection program

Singing River Health System launched a breast cancer risk assessment program integrating Myriad Oncology™’s MyRisk® Hereditary Cancer Test with RiskScore® into routine mammography. Over three years, 26 per cent of screened patients met NCCN Guidelines® for testing, with 23 per cent completing same-day onsite testing. Results identified 6 per cent with pathogenic mutations and 43 per cent with elevated risk despite negative results, prompting enhanced surveillance.

The initiative led to earlier detection of seven breast cancers and over 2,400 patients receiving risk counselling. Supported by Myriad Complete™, the program expanded access for a largely underserved population, transforming early detection and personalised care across Mississippi’s Gulf Coast.
