Amazon Business surveyed nearly 3,500 global leaders and found that, while traditional challenges such as cost control and supplier management persist, procurement is now central to digital transformation, sustainability and business growth.

Key findings include:

• 64 per cent of decision-makers prioritise better data insights through AI and analytics.
• 80 per cent of organisations pursue socially responsible purchasing and supplier diversity.
• Yet only 46 per cent say procurement is included in top-level strategic discussions – revealing an opportunity for greater alignment.
